Amy Sisson, Director of Counseling


Amy Sisson received her Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She has experience in treating children, adolescents, and adults in individual and group settings. Amy is also experienced in providing advocacy and analysis for clients in legal proceedings and is certified by the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. Wing Haven: Counseling Center views counseling as a way to promote healing and renewal, discover new insights, and improve thinking and behavior. Our goal is to support you and to challenge you to reach your potential. Wing Haven is a safe place for dangerous or highly emotional topics to be explored without fear of judgment.

Jamie Payne, Counseling Center Manager

Jamie designs and presents workshops that help individuals and families live more effectively. Most popular recently has been her workshop on personality, relationships, and careers. Many people have improved relationships and have selected careers that are best for them as a result of working with Jamie. In addition, Jamie, as the counseling center manager, performs all the administration and scheduling.

Jamie has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in marketing. She has performed a wide array of functions as an employee of the Gallia Department of Job and Family Services. She also led marketing projects for an event planning company and for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.





Sarah Shedd, Counseling Intern

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Biblical Theology from Biola University in Southern California. She is in the final stages of completing her Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Central Virginia. Among clients she enjoys working with women, children, adolescents and couples towards a healthier, more enriched life that supports positive individual choices. Her counseling is based on a holistic hope focused approach which encourages clients towards an understanding about their thinking and behaviors. At Wing Haven it is Sarah’s goal of creating a safe environment for emotional transparency, healing, support, and hope.









Curtis Shedd, Family Program Coordinator

Curtis holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Piedmont College, and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Georgia. He has also done graduate work at Clemson University and Liberty University. Curtis taught high school for several years, during which time he developed several curriculums; including an academic skills curriculum for high school freshmen. He served as director of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and was an active member of his church and local rotary club while in his native North Georgia. He enjoys the study of history, philosophy, and behavioral economics. Curtis is a proponent of Family Systems Theory, which maintains that a healthy family structure can greatly help to support positive individual choices.
